The owner Ben is from Rotterdam. However, because he could not find a suitable establishment in his own place of residence that would meet his own condition, he found it in The Hague. One day he happened to be walking in the luxury shopping street Noordeinde in The Hague. He saw an empty building there. This building met its condition due to its location. That is why he decided to go for it. The creation of the luxury snack bar Royalz Fries became a fact.

The choice for the name Royalz Fries

The luxury snack bar Royalz Fries fits very well with the chic shopping street Noordeinde and the Noordeinde palace. The name Royalz, the crown in their logo and also in their interior is a playful nod to the Noordeinde palace. It is precisely by adding the letter z to Royalz that it makes the name hip and modern. Which in turn can lead to the big (younger) audience’s appreciation of the name.

The owner has many years of experience in the fries business. As a result, he came up with a concept to bring the fries and frying at Royalz Fries to a completely different level. Royalz Fries also wants to distinguish itself from other snack bars. The luxury snack bar has succeeded in both. Firstly by using fresh, organic, handmade and high-quality products. Secondly, Royalz Fries clearly distinguishes itself from other snack bars in The Hague and surroundings by location, interior and concept.

My experience with their food

The best part as a foodie (food lover) is of course tasting the food. I made my choices based on the most ordered items by customers. These are fries specially with stew, shrimp croquettes, vegan croquettes, truffle croquettes, truffle sauce and ice cream specially with cones.

The organic fries are made fresh with a fries maker. The owner shows me how he did it. The handmade fries are then baked in fresh vegetable oil. You can taste the freshness of the fries. They are crispy and golden yellow like perfect fries are supposed to be. The fries with stew are delicious. Because the stew is made from angus steak, you can taste the quality of the meat. I dip my fries in the truffle sauce and it tastes so good. The croquettes are also delicious and balanced with flavors. In the meantime, my ice cream has melted a bit, but that should not spoil the fun. I really really enjoyed my meal with dessert. This is worth repeating for me.
