Bagel onion-tomato fun
When making bagel onion-tomato fun, i was inspired by an onion bread that I used to eat regularly as a child and teenager. I add tomato and that makes it complete. It is a delicious savoury snack and preparing it is very easy. See recipe below.
Ingredients for 2 – 4 people:
- 2 bagels
- 1 red onion
- 1 large or 2 small tomatoes
- a pinch of Himalayan salt (may also be ordinary or other type of salt)
- a pinch of black pepper (may also be other type of pepper)
- a bag of grated cheese (does not matter which cheese)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil (may also be other type of oil or butter)
Preparation method:
You will preheat the oven to 180 degrees. In the meantime, you will halve the bagels horizontally. Then you cut the red onion into rings and then fry in pan with olive oil. If they look glazed you remove them from the pan and then distribute them over the 4 halved bagels. The tomato is cut into small pieces and divided over the 4 bagels. Then you cover them with grated cheese. You put them one by one on the oven plate with parchment paper and then put them in the preheated oven. 10 minutes or as soon as the cheese has melted, your bagels are ready for consumption. Enjoy it!
