Picture this: you walk into a cozy Rotterdam restaurant where you can order as many vibrant, plant-based dishes as you like—without once worrying about the bill. That’s the magic of Rozey, Rotterdam’s first all-inclusive vegan and vegetarian restaurant, where an impressive menu of 56 different small plates keeps arriving, from crispy bites to warming comfort dishes. Whether you’re a committed vegan, a curious vegetarian, or simply someone who loves delicious food, this is the kind of place that makes “unlimited vegan and vegetarian” feel less like a gimmick and more like a culinary adventure.

Getting to Know Rozey

The Story Behind the Restaurant

Owners Roos and Roland opened Rozey’s doors on April 12th, and they had a clear vision: bring an all-inclusive vegan and vegetarian concept to Rotterdam—something that simply didn’t exist yet in the city. This makes Rozey not just the first of its kind in Rotterdam, but likely one of the only places in the entire Netherlands doing this. Their ambition is to grow the concept into something that thrives in big-city energy. In doing so, they’re tapping into something very real: the growing demand from vegans and vegetarians for dining options that don’t just accommodate them—they celebrate them.

Why Rotterdam? Roos explains it simply: they wanted a dynamic city where “creative things are always happening,” and Rotterdam fit the bill perfectly. The location itself—their space in Wijnhaven—sealed the deal. It’s an emerging neighborhood with real momentum, exactly the kind of place where something bold and fresh can take root.

The Name: A Sweet Touch

The name “Rozey” came from Roland, and it’s a charming detail: it’s derived from Roos, one of the owners, and also happens to be her nickname. There’s something perfect about it—playful, warm, and instantly memorable. Roos is clearly delighted by the honor of having the restaurant named after her, and honestly, it gives the whole place a personal touch that you can feel the moment you walk in.

Crafting 56 Dishes with Care

Creating a menu of 56 dishes is no small feat, and it’s clear that Rozey didn’t rush the process. Roos walks us through it: “A whole team worked on this—they were incredibly thoughtful about it. Etienne, our chef who became vegetarian during his travels around the world, and William, who previously worked at the renowned Parkheuvel, led the effort and developed most of the recipes.” The result? Guests genuinely love it. You can see it in their faces as they eat—this is food that’s made with real care and creativity.

How the All-Inclusive Concept Works

If you’ve experienced an all-inclusive restaurant before, the format here is familiar but refined. You order a maximum of two dishes per round, and you can add sides with each round—fries, sweet potato fries, or bread—which means you could have up to three plates at a time. There’s an order form on the table where you jot down your choices, pass it to the staff, and the kitchen gets to work preparing everything for you.

What makes it even better? Drinks are included. Now, there are exceptions—bottled beers, bottled wines, and prosecco aren’t part of the deal—but soft drinks, Heineken on tap, house wines, hot drinks, and two homemade iced tea varieties all come with the meal. For a fixed price (€37.50 Friday to Sunday, €32.50 Monday to Thursday), you get unlimited food and drinks with no time limit. You can arrive at 5 p.m. and stay until closing at 10:30 p.m., leisurely working your way through that menu.

My Night at Rozey

I spent the entire evening sipping their refreshing iced tea—absolute perfection on a warm night. The menu really does deliver on its promise: 56 dishes split evenly between vegan and vegetarian options. As someone who isn’t vegan or vegetarian, I loved discovering dishes I didn’t expect to love. The seaweed croquettes? Addictive. The poke bowl? Excellent. I’ll be honest—I didn’t make it through all 56 dishes in one evening, but that’s not a problem. It just gives me a great excuse to go back. And I will, because even as a non-vegan eater, I genuinely think Rozey is a must-visit.
